Event Assist Inc. and
the Event Assist Project came about as a direct
result of the draft report of the WA Governments ‘Pinjarra-Brunswick
Sustainability Study’ , which identified a need under LPB Strategy
3, for an organisation to:-
· Provide Training opportunities to local communities to
increase their knowledge of available grants and the
grant application processes : and
· Provide on going grant application assistance and
community event organisation and coordination.
With
a wide practical experience of events management ,
accessing grants and a network of professional
contacts in the events industry, gained as producers
of the widely acclaimed
“In the Loop” series of events , we were
able to very quickly put together a project to
address these needs and more.
Event Assist Inc. now
conducts community workshops, which bring together
experts in a number of events related fields, who
deliver information to delegates from organisations
who either currently run events or would like to do
so in the future.
In
addition to these workshops Event Assist Inc. conducts event evaluations which provide valuable
information to event organisers to help them fine
tune their events.
A
database of Traders, Entertainers and Suppliers to
the events industry is also kept, to assist event
planners to find what they need for their events.
Event Assist Inc. still
maintains a hands on event management role,
continuing to produce Events Tourism Icons like the “All Australian
Car Day” & “British Auto Classic” which are held at Waroona in the Lower
Peel Region each year.
